A player can choose one of numerous bets.
There are several line bets in the game of Craps.
There is a ‘Pass Line’ and ‘Don’t Pass Line’ area, where line bets can be placed. You are only to choose either Pass Line or Don’t Pass line bet. In the case of a win with line bets you are paid an amount equal to your bet and the bet amount itself. If you believe that the shooter will roll 7 or 11 or a point which will be rolled again before 7 you choose Pass Line bet. If you think that the shooter will roll 2 or 3 on the comeout roll or will roll a 7 after rolling a point number and before rolling this point number again you choose a ‘don’t pass line bet’ area.
Odds on a Line Bet.
If the point number is rolled on the comeout the player is allowed to take true odds against a 7 appearing before the point number is rolled again. You can bet an additional amount up to the amount of your line bet. The additional bet is called odds bet. Odds bets are different in different casinos. In some casinos the odds bet amount is the amount equal to the line bet amount or lower. Some casinos allow making odds bets of two, three or even more times the amount of the line bet. The odds bet is paid at a rate equal to the odds of that point number being made before a 7 is rolled. To place an odd bet you have to place your money behind you pass line bet. Be aware that you will not find an area for the odds bets on the craps table. Remember that all the players are allowed to make odds bets, though the house doesn’t want to encourage odds bets. Remember that you can make an odds bet any time after a comeout point is rolled. Every player is allowed to make, to withdraw or to reinstate an odds bet anytime after the comeuot and before sevening out. All money and chips have to be taken off the table in the case of a win. You have to take your chips off the table and if you want them to work further put them back on the table behind your line bet. The Pass Line Bet is one of the most common wagers in Craps. To make a pass line bet click on the Pass Line area of the table. If you have chosen a pass line bet and a 7 or 11 is rolled you win. Rolling 2,3 or 12 is a loss for pass line bets. If the point is rolled you are to continue rolling until you have the same number. If the point rolls again before 7 it is a win. If you seven out before rolling the point number again you lose. Pass Line bets pay 1:1. The Odds Bet isn’t as common as the pass line bet. At the casinos there is no special area for odds bets. The player should always remember that he has a right to make a odds bet. If you make an odds bet you believe that the shooter will roll the second point number before rolling a 7. To place an odds bet you have to click on the area behind the pass line area. Be aware that you can make an odds bet only if the shooter rolls a point number. Point numbers 4 or 10 pay 1:2 in the case of a win. If the point number is 5 or 9 the payoff is 3:2. If the point number is 6 or 8 the payout is 6:5. The Place Bet allows you to bet directly on a point-number without having to make a Pass Line or Come bet. Click on the PLACE area on the Craps table to make a place bet. The place bet is turned off by default during a comeout roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. Big 6 and Big 8 bets are like regular place bets. Big 6 and Big 8 bets pay even money. Big 6 and Big 8 bets are turned off by default during a come out roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. One Roll Bets are made by clicking on the corresponding area of the Betting Layout. There are seven One Roll bets. The paoff is dependent on a bet. Any Seven pays 4 to 1. Any Craps (2, 3 and 12) pays 7 to 1. Eleven (YO) and 3 pay 15 to 1. Hi-Lo (2 and 12) pays 30 to 1. Horn Bet (2, 3, 11 and 12) pays 7 to 1 (2 or 12) or 3 to 1 (3 or 11). Hardway Bet is made by clicking on the corresponding area of the craps table. There are four kinds of Hardway Bet. Hardway bets are turned off by default during a come out roll. To force a bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. If a pair is rolled before a 7 or any other combination of the Hardway number is rolled you win. If you have a hard 4 and 10 the payout is 7:1. If you have a hard 6 and 8 the payout is 9:1. Field Bet is a one-roll bet. You can make a field bet on any roll. You win even money if 3,4,9,10 or 11 rolls. If you have 2 or 12 you are paid 2:1. If any other number is rolled you lose. To make a field bet you have to click on the corresponding area on the Betting Layout. The Buy Bet allows you to bet directly on a point-number without making a Pass Line or Come bet. Buy bets pay correct odds but you 5% will be taken out by the house. A buy bet wins if the number rolls before a 7. To make a Buy Bet you have to click on one of the numbers of the table. Buy bet is turned off by default during a come out roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. Lay Bets is based on selecting a number and placing a bet on it. To win Lay Bet a 7 has to roll before the selected number rolls. To make a lay bet you have to click on the corresponding area of the betting layout. Lay bet is turned off by default during a come out roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. The Don't Pass Bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet. Click on the corresponding area of the betting layout to make a Don't Pass bet. The Don't Pass Bet wins on the comeout if the shooter rolls 2 or 3. There is a push if the shooter rolls 12. In the case of a push nobody wins and nobody loses. The Don't Pass Bet loses if the shooter rolls a 7 or a 11. The Don't Pass bet pays 1 to 1 odds. Odds bet on the Don't Pass bet You can make an Odds bet on the Don't Pass bet after the shooter establishes the point. To make an odds bet you have to click on your original Don't Pass bet. If the point number is a 4 or a 10 the payout is 2:1. If the point number is a 5 or a 9 the payout is 3:1. If you have a 6 or a 8 the payout is 6:5. The Don't Come Bet The Don't Come bet is the opposite of the Come Bet. The Don't Come bet can only be made while the shooter is trying to repeat the point-number. Click on the Don't Come button to place a Don't Come Bet. You can make odds bets on the don’t come bets. C & E Bet The C bet is exactly the same as a bet on any craps. The E bet is the same as a bet on eleven. This is just another place to make those bets.

L'histoire du craps
Les jeux de hasard avec des dés existe depuis l’aube de l’humanité. Les premiers dés étaient problablement fabriqués d’os d’animaux ou de bois, le chêne par exemple. On sait que les soldats Romains jettaient des ongles de porc dans un jeu appellé "Os" il y a plus de 2000 ans. Voilà une version d'apparition du craps qui évolue depuis les onglets de porc jusqu’à ce jeu de casino. Les Arabes ont adopté un passe-temps en "Jetant des os" lorsqu’ils envahirent les anciennes Provinces Romaines. Ils appellèrent leurs petits cubes numérotés "azzahr". Plus tard, lors d’échange avec les Européens au Moyen Age, ce jeu de dés a traversé à nouveau la Méditerannée et a été baptisé par les Français "hasar" ou "hasard". Durant les interminables guerres entre la France et l’Angleterre au 13ème et 14ème siècle, les chevaliers Anglais ont rapportés le jeu chez eux en tant que "hazard" - qui signifie prendre une chance ou prendre un risque. Lorsque les Anglais jouaient au jeu, ils appelaient les plus petits tirage "crabs" ce qui a donné le nom (avec des transformations quand même) au jeu actuel - craps. Aujourd’hui, le Craps est le jeu le plus populaire dans les Casinos. Les tables de Craps sont faciles à localiser dans les casino ou la foule regarde avec fascination les dés se lancer. Sans doute ce jeu se développait au cours du temps comme n'importe quel jeu ce qui a provoqué certains changements des règles. Pourtant le jeu de craps continue à être le symbole du casino. On raconte parfois un autre mythe. L'histoire est vraiment intriguante. Nommé à l'époque "hazard" le jeu a été crée par Bernard de Mandeville dans la Nouvelle Orléans en 1813, il a rencontré un franc succès parmi les meilleurs clients des maisons de jeu anglaises. Le "Craps" provient du "Crabs" qui désigne un lancé de 1-1 au Hazard.
